Be part of an exciting project that will shape the services for the Southern Community. A short-term opportunity exists to be a part of the Southern Redevelopment Team as Commissioning Project Manager. 

About the role: 

This position will assist the project team to progress key milestones associated with the Flinders Medical Centre redevelopment project in delivering a new seven storey Acute Services Building.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Provide expertise and advisory support to prepare for the operational commissioning of the new services
  • Coordinate project activities and manage key deliverables across multiple workstreams
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication channels
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • Support change management activities and service transition planning
  • Prepare reports and documentation for project governance requirements
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, contractors, and project partners

About you:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in an allied health discipline which entitles registration with the relevant board (registered professions) or gives eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional Association (self-regulated professions) OR Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Proven ability to organise, manage and administer significant projects to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work under broad direction in the execution and completion of tasks working with minimum supervision, applying initiative and judgement.
  • Ability to determine priorities and work effectively under pressure, within limited timeframes to ensure that high quality outputs and deadlines are met.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify issues, gaps and variances and develop options for progression or resolution. 
  • High level written and verbal communication skills including writing project plans and delivering presentations with a wide variety of audiences.

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
