About the Role

Kickstart or elevate your Speech Pathology career in a supportive and collaborative team making a meaningful difference across the Limestone Coast community.

As a Rural Generalist Speech Pathologist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of services appropriate to the needs of the local community. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention, therapy, education and evaluation services across a variety of settings including hospital, community, residential care, outreach and telehealth services.

The role supports a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment and rehabilitative approaches, while promoting client-centred care and improved health outcomes. Whether you are a new graduate or experienced clinician, you will be supported through mentorship, professional development opportunities, clinical supervision and access to innovative technologies within a welcoming rural health environment.

You are a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist committed to delivering high-quality, culturally safe and client-centred care. You thrive in collaborative environments, value continuous learning and enjoy working across diverse rural generalist settings to support positive outcomes for clients and communities.

To succeed in the Rural Generalist Speech Pathologist role, you will:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and be eligible for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Deliver high-quality assessment, intervention and therapy services across a range of clinical settings.
  • Show commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to manage diverse clinical caseloads within a rural health setting.

Conditions of Employment

  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) required.
  • DHS NDIS Worker Check required.
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to drive on country roads is essential.
  • Intra and interstate travel may be required.
  • Some out of hours work and participation in on-call arrangements may be required.
