We are looking for Allied Health Assistants to join our team

 

As the Allied Heath Assistant, you will be providing your assistance and support to the General Medicine and ED Acute Allied Health team in the delivery of allied health series to patients of General Medicine and ED.

You will have the opportunity to apply a range of specialised clinical screenings and patient treatments, within your scope of practice. Additionally, you will monitor patient responses to therapies and report your findings to the supervising Allied Health Professional. 

 

About the role: 

Some of your duties as the AHA3 Allied Health Assistant may involve: 

  • Assisting with nutrition, cognitive engagement and patient movement and/or physical asks as part of a directed therapy team.
  • Accurately maintaining therapy related databases and patient documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP. 
  • Assisting patient transport to/from AHP therapy/intervention.

 

About you:

  • CERT IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent. 
  • Experience working in a service environment. 
  • Clear aptitude for working in a healthcare setting and with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds. 
  • Ability to work under general direction and direct or remote supervision from Allied Health Professionals. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs of the workplace on a daily basis. 
  • Sount time management, organisational and communication skills.
