Transform Patient Safety as Advanced Nurse Consultant

The Safety, Quality and Risk Manager (Advanced Nurse Consultant), has responsibility for ensuring the effectiveness of systems and strategies that enable the delivery of the Division of Surgery and Perioperative Medicine’s (SAPOM) clinical governance, clinical risk management, and quality improvement framework. This includes ongoing strategic monitoring and evaluation of clinical and non-clinical service quality improvement and assurance programmes, digital data capability, and the identification, assessment and management of associated risks.

About you:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, initiate, lead and manage complex organisational change, with the ability to influence others in responding
  • Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts and ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences on wide-ranging topics
  • Extensive experience in a range of major project, policy development and planning work involving leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve significant outcomes
  • Self-motivated to deliver against challenging strategic targets and project plans
