Exciting opportunities are available for experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Managers (Theatre) to support leadership and coordination within the Port Lincoln Hospital Theatre team.

Port Lincoln Hospital Operating Theatres deliver a broad range of elective and emergency surgical services to communities across the Eyre and Far North region. About the Role

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical leadership and support within the theatre environment, promoting continuity and consistency of care while supporting staff development and day-to-day operational management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clinical leadership and coordination of theatre services
  • Assisting with staffing, rostering, recruitment and workforce management
  • Promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting education, mentoring and professional development of staff
  • Facilitating safe, person-centred care and positive patient outcomes
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across the health service

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and clinical experience within a relevant practice setting
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centred care
