About the Role:
Modbury Hospital is the heart of allied health care for Adelaide's northern communities, and the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead NDIS case coordination with the expertise and confidence this role demands.
What You'll Be Leading
Embedded within the NDIS Services team within the Division of Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care at Modbury Hospital, you will hold a complex caseload while providing clinical leadership to a collaborative allied health team. Your core focus will include:
- Assisting to coordinate high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention for NDIS participants
- Participating in clinical review meetings and liaising with NDIS planners, community providers, and multidisciplinary colleagues to optimise participant outcomes
- Providing clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OT staff and students within NALHN
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives aligned with NDIS practice standards and SA Health policy frameworks
What You Bring
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist with demonstrated senior-level clinical experience
- Solid working knowledge of the NDIS, including funding frameworks, support categories, and participant planning processes
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload autonomously while contributing to a team environment
- Experience in functional capacity assessment and the preparation of detailed NDIS-related reports
- Effective communication skills with participants, families, and external service providers across diverse communities
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the northern Adelaide metro region
To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
