About the role:

Reporting to the WHS Prevention Manager, this role leads SALHN's WHS prevention team in delivering advisory and operational safety services across the network. You'll drive the development of WHS plans and priorities, manage the WHS audit and verification program, lead SafeWork SA reportable investigations, and support local management with hazard identification and rectification. Working in close partnership with the WHS Prevention Manager, Workforce staff, and SALHN Executives, you'll play a central role in embedding effective safety management systems that reduce work-related injury and workers compensation claims across the organisation.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health Safety, Injury Management, or a related discipline, supported by extensive experience providing WHS and injury prevention advice within a large, complex organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor injury prevention programs, with sound knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA) and the ability to interpret WHS legislation and injury management statistical data
  • Proven experience leading and managing a WHS team, with a track record of building high-performing, diverse teams and maximising individual and collective performance
