SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is seeking experienced community nurses to join the Port Lincoln Community & Allied Health team on part-time, long-term or short-term contracts. Multiple positions are available with various contract end dates and hours, working across a 7-day service. This is your opportunity to broaden your scope of practice while building lasting connections with patients and families in one of South Australia's most scenic coastal communities.

You will provide various nursing services, including wound management (chronic, complex and acute), venepuncture, CVAD management, urinary catheter management, Baxter infusions, stoma management, medication administration and post-acute care. You’ll be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team working alongside many specialist teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management to patients in a variety of community health settings.
  • Support the development of nursing practice by guiding less experienced staff and students.
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge and an understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse/Midwife within a health care setting, you will bring the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage and prioritise your workload effectively to meet care delivery goals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring patient safety and optimal care standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for RN1 positions, Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of post-registration experience for RN2 positions.
  • Solid wound care knowledge with a broad understanding of wound care dressings and the healing process.
  • Ability to lead, support, and mentor other nursing staff, including students and enrolled nurses.
  • Commitment to consumer and family-centred care.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently, and within a multidisciplinary team, prioritising care while meeting deadlines.

You’ll be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside specialist nurses in areas including diabetes, cancer care (including breast, prostate, and other cancers), stoma care, palliative care, continence, community aged care, and NDIS.
