About the Role:

As a PAS (Patient Administrative System) Data Integrity Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, quality and integrity of patient information within the Sunrise Electronic Medical Record (EMR) across the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. Working within the Patient Administrative System Data Integrity Unit (PAS DIU), you will help ensure patient registration, demographic and activity data meets State and Federal data standards, supporting safe patient care, accurate reporting and organisational performance.

Working closely with Health Information Management Services, clinical teams, administrative staff, the Registry Integrity Unit and other stakeholders, you will provide expert advice on patient registration practices, investigate and resolve data discrepancies, monitor key performance indicators, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. You will also support staff education and provide guidance on data standards, procedures and best practice to strengthen data quality across the network.

The PAS DIU provides leadership in the management, education and administration of PAS in Sunrise EMR, with expertise in SA Health data management, patient registration, data quality and integrity, health information management, and patient activity data capture associated with Casemix and Activity Based Funding (ABF). In this role, you will contribute to these functions through the management of duplicate registrations, data validation, auditing, reporting, troubleshooting data quality issues and supporting compliance with Admitted Patient Care (APC) requirements and Consumer Identification Standards.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
