About the Role:
The Northern Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking experienced Theatre Sterilising Technicians to work apart of the team in the Theatre Sterilising Unit (TSU) and Gastroenterology Instrument Reprocessing Unit within the Division of Surgical Services and Anaesthesia.

Duties include:
- Decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilisation of surgical and endoscopy instruments in line with AS/NZS standards
- Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and associated Gastroenterology equipment
- Maintaining accurate batch records and traceability documentation
- Supporting theatre and clinical staff with instrument turnaround and stock management
To be eligible for this position:
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent industry qualification)
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital or day-procedure sterilising unit
- Practical knowledge of endoscope reprocessing protocols and Gastroenterology instrumentation
- Familiarity with NALHN or SA Health sterilisation policies and quality frameworks
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure in a clinical support environment
- Current immunisation compliance consistent with SA Health employment requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must have an AQF Certificate III relevant to employee’s position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in service experience

NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
