About the Role:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will use your clinical expertise to deliver, evaluate, and continuously improve a comprehensive range of services tailored to the needs of the local community. Working with increasing autonomy, you will play a key role in a collaborative, multi-professional team, contributing to prevention, early intervention, and therapeutic care. This role also offers the opportunity to support and mentor junior staff, assistants, and students, helping to shape the next generation of allied health professionals while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must hold a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), with participation in SPA Professional Self-Regulation (PSR) program desirable.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, evidence-based Speech Pathology services across a broad scope of practice, including individual, group, and community-based interventions.
  • Experience working with increasing clinical autonomy, including caseload management, prioritisation, and application of professional judgement in complex clinical settings.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to service coordination, and provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff, students, and allied health assistants.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients, families, and diverse communities (including rural, CALD, and Aboriginal populations) in a culturally safe and client-centred manner.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and quality assurance, including accurate documentation, reporting, use of clinical systems, and participation in service evaluation and improvement activities.
