WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

Join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN), RSS - BME and help ensure the safety, effectiveness, compliance and availability of critical biomedical technology used in patient diagnosis, treatment and monitoring across SA Health hospitals and healthcare facilities. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will undertake preventative and corrective maintenance, support the implementation of emerging medical technologies, and contribute to the reliable operation of life-changing equipment.

WHO ARE WE?

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health that delivers a range of enabling services, such as workforce planning and recruitment, digital health, finance, infrastructure, procurement, and clinical governance support. Our purpose is to strengthen and sustain healthcare delivery in rural and regional areas by providing consistent, efficient, and specialist support functions to the six regional local health networks (LHNs) across South Australia.  We employ around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS's three Adelaide offices.

  • Do you have demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and integrity?
  • Do you have experience in maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment in a healthcare environment?
  • Do you have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and meet deadlines?
  • Do you have strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Support the maintenance, repair and performance of biomedical equipment used in patient care.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance, inspections and testing to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the effective operation of biomedical devices and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor equipment performance, and support quality and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, technical staff and stakeholders to deliver safe, effective and customer-focused services.
