What You'll Be Leading

Reporting to the Manager of Patient Services, you'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of administrative and patient services across Port Lincoln Hospital. This is a hands-on leadership role operating across a 24/7 roster environment, with a contract end date of 31 January 2027.

  • Lead, supervise, and allocate work to patient services staff, ensuring consistent and timely service delivery
  • Oversee patient record management including creation, storage, retention, and disposal of medical and general records in line with policy
  • Manage Freedom of Information requests and human resource administration duties
  • Maintain a professional reception function, ensuring patients and visitors receive a respectful and efficient experience

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a healthcare or health administration setting
  • Sound knowledge of patient information systems and medical records management
  • Familiarity with SA Health or public health sector administrative frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to coordinate rosters and manage workload allocation across a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centred service
  • Availability and willingness to work across a 24-hour, 7-day roster
