Overview:

The Manager Strategy and Projects reports to the Director, Strategic Industrial Relations and Policy and provides senior management leadership and authoritative specialist expertise in the development and delivery of complex, system-wide multi-functional and multi-disciplinary workforce and industrial relations strategies, policies and programs of critical strategic importance, and workplace change.

The role operates with a high degree of professional autonomy and judgement and provides authoritative advice that directly informs and influences strategy, policy, planning and executive decision-making across SA Health.

The key outcomes for this role include:

  • Develop and lead system-wide workforce relations strategies that drive long-term organisational and system-wide transformation, underpinned by research, analysis, and innovation.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of system-wide workforce relations policies and frameworks, in collaboration with key senior stakeholders across the SA Health network.
  • Lead the development, integration and governance of consolidated Enterprise Bargaining (EB) forward plans as part of short, medium, and long-term strategic industrial relations plans and their implementation. 
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities to drive organisational and system-wide transformation through workplace relations reform, including the development of pathways for implementation across the system.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of highly complex, multi-disciplinary and multi-functional programs and initiatives, where outcomes have critical system-wide and cross-agency impact.
  • Lead the review, redesign and implementation of system-wide workplace relations policies and procedures to enable new ways of working, strategic objectives, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Support the delivery of objectives and priorities as set by Health Chief Executive Council (HCEC) and form strong working relationships with HCEC.
