About the Role

Bring Connection, creativity and purpose to everyday living.  As a leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will support the delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs for residents within our Residential Care Home - Hammill House.

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, health professionals and volunteers, you'll play an important role in creating meaningful experiences that support residents' cognitive, social and physical wellbeing.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and deliver individual and group lifestyle activities tailored to resident needs.
  • Support resident assessments and evaluate program outcomes to enhance participation and wellbeing.
  • Encourage independence, choice, creativity and meaningful engagement.
  • Collaborate with families, volunteers and the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.

You’ll also contribute to documentation, continuous improvement and maintaining a welcoming, culturally inclusive environment.

About You

You’re a compassionate and organised individual who enjoys creating positive experiences and building meaningful connections.  To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team while showing initiative and sound judgement.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and documenting activities and outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Certificate III (completed or working towards) in Aged Care, Community Services, Diversional Therapy or equivalent.

This is a part time vacancy, working 24 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
