About the Role:
As an Administration Support Officer (Reliever) within Northern Community Mental Health Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of specialist mental health care services to consumers across the northern metropolitan region. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide a broad range of administrative, reception and clerical services that help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of community-based mental health programs and clinics.
In this varied reliever role, you will support multiple sites and teams across the division, providing coverage during planned and unplanned staff absences. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, maintaining confidential consumer records, coordinating communications, supporting clinicians and administrative teams, and delivering high-quality customer service in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Northern Community Mental Health Services deliver specialist acute and recovery-oriented care for people with lived experience of mental illness, including psychiatric outpatient and medication clinics, care coordination, individual and group therapy programs, and community-based rehabilitation services. As a key point of contact for consumers, families, visitors and staff, you will contribute to a welcoming, professional and consumer-focused service environment.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services – adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services – provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services – including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
