What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into the facilities team at Port Lincoln Hospital within the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, you'll maintain the physical environment that patients, visitors, and staff rely on every day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out general internal and external facility maintenance, including minor carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs
  • Performing mechanical maintenance and reporting or escalating issues as required
  • Managing grounds upkeep and rubbish collection to maintain a safe, presentable site
  • Logging and managing tasks using computerised maintenance systems and standard office tools

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in building and grounds maintenance across a range of trades tasks
  • Ability to work with computer packages including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Sound judgement and the ability to prioritise and act independently in day-to-day tasks
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with a strong eye for safety and detail
  • Reliability and a team-first attitude suited to a busy hospital environment
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn, infection control and safety standards specific to SA Health facilities
