  • Salary: RN/M1 $77,824 to $106,187 per annum (adjusted to actual hours worked) 
  • Ongoing, Part-time opportunity (36 hours per week worked over a 7 day roster) 

 

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

This role provides indirect and direct patient-centred nursing care within a defined clinical area, supporting safe and coordinated patient journeys through effective clinical coordination, bed management, and complex discharge planning in collaboration with senior nursing staff. The position involves assessing patient needs, coordinating care across disciplines and services, and delivering progressively autonomous shift-by-shift clinical care to achieve positive health outcomes. 

In addition, the role contributes to broader health service improvement through participation in quality and safety initiatives, risk minimisation activities, and evidence-based practice. It also supports education and development by providing health promotion to patients and carers, assisting with student and graduate learning experiences, and offering growing professional leadership to less experienced staff while engaging in evaluative and research-informed nursing practice.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

You will………. 

  • Coordinate patient flow through assisting with bed management and supporting safe transfers across the health service. 

  • Contribute to complex discharge planning in collaboration with senior nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams. 

  • Deliver direct, person-centred nursing care and case management with increasing autonomy in a defined clinical area. 

  • Participate in quality improvement, safety, and risk management activities to support safe and effective service delivery. 

  • Support education and development by assisting students, new graduates, and less experienced staff while promoting evidence-based practice.
