About The Role

Naracoorte Health Service is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our Residential Aged Care team in multiple ongoing vacancies. Opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time applicants, with hours negotiable to suit individual circumstances.

As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide person-centred care and assistance with daily living activities including personal care, mobility support, communication, and social wellbeing. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people within a supportive regional healthcare environment.

To succeed in the Direct Care Worker role, you will:

• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting older people with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Have the ability to exercise initiative, maintain confidentiality and work effectively under direction.
• Demonstrate sound organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Hold a current driver's licence and be willing to work across a seven-day roster with varied shifts.

The Residential Aged Care team at Naracoorte Health Service provides high-quality care and support to older people living within our residential care facility. Conditions of Employment

• A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• A current driver's licence is required.
• Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.
• SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
