About the Role

Make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of people in custody by delivering advanced primary healthcare across SA Prison Health Services. As a permanent Nurse Practitioner, you will work with a high level of autonomy to assess, diagnose, treat and coordinate care while supporting positive health outcomes across metropolitan and regional correctional settings. Clinics are delivered across various metropolitan and country prison locations, with travel and overnight stays expected as part of the role, offering a diverse and rewarding scope of practice.  Country travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role.

• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Manage chronic, complex and acute health conditions
• Prescribe medicines and coordinate patient care
• Deliver virtual and face-to-face healthcare services
• Lead service improvement and evidence-based practice

About You

You are an experienced Nurse Practitioner who combines advanced clinical expertise with a passion for delivering accessible, person-centred healthcare.

• Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with current NMBA registration
• Advanced primary healthcare and clinical assessment skills
• Lead care planning and complex case management
• Build strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams
• Drive quality improvement and evidence-based practice
