This role supports the Speech Pathology team in delivering high-quality allied health services to adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, under the supervision of a qualified speech pathologist. Responsibilities include assisting with screening and intervention programs for communication, hearing, and swallowing disorders, providing patient education, preparing resources, reprocessing equipment, and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. The position may also provide support to Audiology as required, contributing to safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

About you:

  • Cert 4 in Allied Health or Equivalent
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices
  • Initiative in carrying out routine tasks with limited direction and reporting issues requiring attention
  • Clear aptitude for working in a healthcare setting and with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Sound time management, organisational and communication skills
