• Total Indicative Remuneration Salary MD2  $366,927 / $490,911 (pro rata)  + Salary Sacrifice Benefits + 5% on call allowance
• Permanent par-time working 7.5 hours per week every Tuesday

About the Role

Join SA Prison Health Service (SAPHS) as a GP Consultant and deliver high-quality primary health care to people affected by imprisonment. Working within a skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll help shape safe, responsive services that support better health outcomes and continuity of care.

• Provide safe, evidence-based primary medical care
• Develop medical programs that respond to patient needs
• Support and teach junior medical staff, students and Nurse Practitioners
• Measure clinical outcomes and contribute to quality reporting
• Lead risk management, clinical governance and service improvement
• Partner with CALHN services to support hospital avoidance strategies
• Build strong links with government and community health services
• Contribute to statewide working groups and key committees
• Support efficient, effective operation of the health unit
• Participate in the after-hours remote on-call roster

About You

You’ll bring strong clinical expertise, collaborative leadership and a commitment to safe, high-quality care. You’ll build trusted partnerships, navigate complex clinical environments and support continuous improvement across multidisciplinary services.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM
• Hold specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Lead clinical change, safety, quality and risk improvement
• Teach and support medical staff, students and Nurse Practitioners
• Build partnerships and communicate across diverse stakeholders
