WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?  

We have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced clinicians to step into a senior Occupational Therapy role where your expertise genuinely shapes how care is delivered across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN).

Senior Occupational Therapists – Gawler or Victor Harbor Locations: These leadership roles offer a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact position shaping and delivering complex clinical and consultancy services across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. Working with a high degree of professional autonomy, you will apply advanced clinical expertise and strategic insight to support service delivery, guide practice development, and contribute to system-wide improvements. You will play a key role in advising leadership on service redesign, establishing clinical protocols, and ensuring services are responsive to community needs, with a strong focus on culturally safe, person-centred care.

The Victor Harbor position will work across Inpatients and Outpatients as well as within the CHSP Team, and is being offered on a part-time, temporary basis of 30 hours per week, until 1st October 2027. The Gawler position is being offered on a part-time, temporary basis of 30 hours per week, until 17th September 2027.

Senior Occupational Therapist Geriatric Outreach - Various Locations: This position provides an excellent opportunity to work within the Geriatric Outreach Service and gain experience supporting older people with complex needs associated with cognitive decline and/or dementia as they transition between hospital and residential aged care. It is a supported step into leadership, offering exposure to clinical leadership, service coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, system navigation, and quality improvement activities. Mentoring and support will be available throughout the role, making it an ideal opportunity for clinicians interested in developing their leadership capabilities and their skills and knowledge on dementia-informed care and non-pharmacological interventions.

This role services locations region wide including Gawler, Mount Barker and Victor Harbor and is being offered on a full-time, temporary basis until 13th November 2026.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?  

You will……….  

  • Lead the delivery of complex Occupational Therapy services across Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, providing expert clinical care and consultancy. 
  • Shape and improve services by contributing to clinical protocols, service design and strategic planning.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Occupational Therapists and support workforce development.
  • Coordinate student placements, contribute to education, and support research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to strengthen service integration, enhance patient outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
