About the role

As a Technical Officer Grade 2, you'll play an important role in supervising and supporting the delivery of high-quality laboratory services within a collaborative and professional team. You'll apply your technical expertise and sound judgement to support research, operational and project activities, while undertaking a diverse range of laboratory duties. Whether working independently or leading minor technical projects, you'll provide recommendations on equipment, procedures and processes that help drive safe, efficient and accurate laboratory outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities. You'll supervise and support laboratory staff, contribute to training and development, prepare technical reports, and help ensure quality standards are maintained across the laboratory. About You

You are a motivated technical professional with strong laboratory experience who enjoys leading others and delivering high-quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant laboratory discipline (or equivalent)
• Experience in diagnostic laboratory practice and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills with the ability to supervise staff
• Commitment to quality, customer service and working effectively under limited supervision
