About the Role

Join our Cancer Directorate team and play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Clinical Support Officer, you'll provide a broad range of administrative support across our outpatient services, helping ensure clinics run efficiently and patients receive a positive experience. Every day offers variety as you support clinicians, coordinate appointments, manage patient information and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the Directorate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional administrative and reception support across outpatient services
  • Coordinate appointments, referrals and clinic activities
  • Maintain accurate patient information across clinical systems
  • Support clinicians with day-to-day administrative requirements
  • Respond to patient and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of patient care
  • Prepare clinic documentation and maintain administrative records
  • Provide flexible administrative support across the Cancer Directorate as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with administrative policies and procedures

About You

You're an organised, adaptable and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment. You can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of people and take pride in providing accurate, compassionate support to patients and clinical teams.

  • Experience in administration, ideally within a healthcare environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic patient administration systems
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and continuous improvement
  • A flexible approach to supporting a variety of administrative functions across the Cancer Directorate
