About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Perioperative team at Naracoorte Health Service. Working within a supportive and collaborative theatre environment, you will provide high-quality, person-centred perioperative nursing care across the Theatre Department. We are seeking experienced perioperative nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional surgical care, as well as motivated Registered Nurses and Midwives who are keen to undertake education and training to develop specialist perioperative skills. About You

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse or Midwife who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based patient care. Whether you already have perioperative experience or are eager to develop your skills through supported education and training, you are passionate about providing exceptional care and continually expanding your clinical expertise.

To succeed in the RN/M1 role, you will:

  • Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
  • Have experience in perioperative nursing, or demonstrate a willingness to undertake education and training in theatre, recovery or day surgery nursing.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary perioperative environment.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement.

The Perioperative Service at Naracoorte Health Service provides safe, high-quality surgical care across the Theatre, Recovery and Day Surgery environment. Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary clinicians, the team is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes while fostering a culture of learning, professional development and continuous improvement.
