Lead Business Optimisation and Drive Meaningful Change

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of one of South Australia's largest health services. As the Associate Director, Business Optimisation and Improvement, you will provide strategic leadership to improve organisational performance, drive innovation and deliver sustainable business outcomes. Working collaboratively across clinical and corporate services, you'll identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, optimise resources and support the delivery of exceptional healthcare for our community.

About the role: 

In this senior leadership role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of strategic financial leadership, business analytics and performance insights that support informed decision-making across SALHN.
  • Partner with the Chief Finance Officer and Executive Leadership Team to drive business optimisation, sustainability initiatives and organisational performance.
  • Lead and develop a team of Business Finance Partners, providing expert financial advice and supporting the delivery of efficiency and improvement projects.
  • Champion continuous improvement by implementing innovative business practices, optimising processes and maximising the use of technology to enhance patient care and resource utilisation.
  • Strengthen financial governance through high-quality management reporting, robust internal controls and performance monitoring to achieve financial and operational objectives.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified in accounting, economics or a related financial or business management discipline, with significant senior leadership experience in financial management, business improvement and performance optimisation within a large, complex organisation.
  • A strategic and collaborative leader with exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing and partnering with executives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, developing business cases, and delivering financial strategies that improve organisational performance and accountability.
  • Committed to excellence in governance, ethical practice, quality improvement, risk management and work health and safety, with a sound understanding of the Australian health system and person-centred care principles.
