 Safety & Quality Risk Coordinator | Mental Health | SALHN Repat Health Precinct

Multiclass Positions -SALHN Mental Health at Repat Health Precinct, Adelaide leading safety, quality and risk 

About the role: 

  • The SALHN Safety, Quality & Risk Coordinator – MH is employed as part of the Clinical Governance Unit with core duties primarily in one of the functional areas of the SALHN. The core duties focus on driving the patient safety, quality improvement and risk management, identifying key activities for the stream, and conducting, facilitating, monitoring and reporting on quality improvement activities.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Utilising available information systems to inform decision-making, to evaluate outcomes and to convey information to staff.
  • Identifying and making recommendations for the improvement of processes and practices in accordance with emerging divisional or organisational needs, evaluation results and emerging system problems.
  • Development of quality safety and delivery framework for the division of Mental Health, and any other duties associated with this.
  • Providing professional guidance and leadership to facilitate the implementation of a robust risk based internal safety and quality audit program.
  • Formulate and implement SALHN’s enterprise risk management framework, procedure, strategy and guidance materials to evolve risk maturity improvements.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in the application of risk management methodology to deliver assessments of risk exposure involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and embedding risk capability in ensuring best practice risk management within all levels of a large and complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in applying problem solving and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Demonstrated application of the AS/NZS ISO risk management standards into operational practice through policy, systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to support colleagues and mentor others.
