Nurse Consultant – Palliative Care | Make a Meaningful Impact!  

Lead, innovate, and make a meaningful difference in palliative care. Join the Southern Adelaide Palliative Care Services (SAPS) team and use your advanced clinical expertise, leadership skills, and professional judgement to deliver outstanding outcomes for patients, families, and the broader community. In this rewarding role, you will provide expert nursing care, mentor and support colleagues, and contribute to service improvement initiatives that enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery.

Working with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering exceptional palliative care services. This is an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of people living with life-limiting illness, ensuring they receive compassionate, person-centred care that promotes comfort, dignity, and support when it matters most.

About you:

  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Demonstrated competence in palliative care nursing practice in accordance with the relevant palliative care standards – Palliative Care Australia
  • Proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity within the whole of service setting
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
