About the Role

Join a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery team where your expertise will directly support life saving care. You'll deliver safe, high quality perfusion services, help shape clinical excellence, and contribute to service improvement, education and quality outcomes in a collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver safe, expert perfusion support during cardiopulmonary bypass and related procedures
• Manage high quality, cost effective perfusion services
• Support safety, quality and accreditation initiatives across the unit
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous service improvement
• Partner with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing and multidisciplinary teams
• Liaise with emergency, theatre, ward and diagnostic services
• Build strong relationships with referring clinicians and external hospitals
• Attend and contribute to teaching, training and professional development
• Mentor and support junior medical staff and learners
• Share knowledge through internal and external education opportunities

About You

You're an experienced Perfusionist who brings clinical expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to patient care. You'll thrive in a high performing team, lead with confidence and contribute to service excellence, quality improvement and the development of others.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification
• Extensive expertise in perfusion and extracorporeal life support
• Proven leadership, mentoring and team building skills
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and problem solving
• Experience in service improvement, research and resource management
