As Floor Coordinator for Help Desk and Rostering, you'll be the steady hand managing daily resource allocations, patient flow coordination, roster support and being the contact point for task management requirements across one of South Australia's busiest hospitals. This is a role where your organisational skills directly support the people delivering care every day.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager Hotel Services, this role is responsible for the expediting and resolution of requests relating to personnel, cleaning, patient flow, food, and contracted services.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Ensure that service provision and the activities of the Division / Unit / Ward / Service are person and family centred and professionally and effectively conducted by contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans,
  • Ensure that service provision and the activities of the Division / Unit / Ward / Service are person and family centred and professionally and effectively conducted by contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans,
  • Oversee Sunrise and the Patient Flow Mobility application for Hotel Services, including associated devices to ensure appropriate staff movements and the progression and completion of cleaning and transport jobs to improve bed turnover times and flow

About you:

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to apply these principles in a patient support services environment,
  • Ability to effectively promote a culture of respect and courtesy,
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels,
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement and take a flexible approach to work routines,
  • Ability to coordinate workflow and activities, achieve set objectives and evaluate outcomes,
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing,
  • Experience with rostering principles,
  • Experience in the training and development of staff in a health care setting,
  • Experience in producing data reports and written submissions
