About the Role:

Join the Riverland Mallee Coorong LHN as a Nurse Consultant and make a meaningful difference to patient care across community, residential aged care, specialist geriatric clinics and LHN service sites. Using your clinical expertise and strong leadership skills, you’ll provide high-quality assessment and care, support and guide nursing teams, and lead projects that drive service improvements and better patient outcomes—all while working with a high level of autonomy and professional responsibility.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ post-registration experience and current AHPRA registration.
  • Strong clinical expertise and demonstrated competence in the relevant area of practice.
  • Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, support staff development, manage change and work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Knowledge of healthcare legislation, standards, quality improvement and contemporary nursing practice.

Desired Criteria 

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing or a related human services discipline.
  • Experience in aged care, clinical leadership, quality improvement and multidisciplinary care.
  • Knowledge of the South Australian health system, community services and hospital avoidance strategies.
