The Neonatal Unit at Flinders Medical Centre is a busy Level 6 Neonatal Service with 50 beds, providing comprehensive Neonatal Intensive Care and Special Care services to babies across South Australia and surrounding regions. Recognised for its commitment to excellence in family-centred care, clinical innovation and collaborative practice, our unit cares for newborns requiring highly specialised care while partnering closely with families to achieve the very best outcomes.

We are seeking experienced | qualified neonatal nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality care in a complex and rewarding clinical environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, gain exposure to a diverse and challenging case mix, and contribute to outstanding outcomes for vulnerable newborns and their families.

About You:

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Demonstrated recent experience and competence in neonatal nursing practice in accordance with relevant professional standards
  • Experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and/or Neonatal Special Care Nursery.
  • Post graduate Qualifications in Neonatal Nursing would advantageous. 
  • Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer, client and family-centred care
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
