Help people finish their working day as well as they started it

A practical training session that changes how someone moves. An equipment recommendation that prevents an injury. A workplace assessment that helps someone work safely and confidently. As a WorkFit Services Consultant, you’ll turn your clinical expertise into practical solutions that make a difference every day.

If you’re a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist who enjoys variety, problem solving and working directly with people, this role offers plenty to get involved in. Join CALHN’s WorkFit Services team and help organisations create safer, healthier workplaces through tailored advice, assessment and education.

About the Role

Bring your curiosity, clinical judgement and practical ideas to a role that combines hands-on consultancy, engaging training and workplace design. You’ll work with clients across different industries, supported by a collaborative team and evidence-based approaches.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Assess fitness for work and recommend practical ways to support safe participation.
  • Deliver engaging manual task training and inductions that build confidence and safer habits.
  • Help prevent and manage musculoskeletal injuries through tailored interventions.
  • Advise on ergonomic workplace design, equipment selection and work practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients to understand their challenges and develop workable solutions.

From delivering an onsite training session to advising on a new workspace, you’ll have opportunities to use your expertise, think creatively and see the impact of your recommendations.

About You

You enjoy translating clinical knowledge into advice people can understand and use. You’re comfortable working independently, value teamwork and know that the best solutions start with listening.

You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, with AHPRA registration or eligibility.
  • Experience in manual tasks, ergonomics, workplace injury rehabilitation and training delivery.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage people with different needs and perspectives.
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislation, risk management and injury prevention.
  • A practical, consultative approach to improving workplace safety and capacity.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Alongside the satisfaction of helping people stay safe and well at work, you’ll enjoy:

  • Variety in your day – combine assessments, training, consultancy and workplace design advice.
  • Room to use your expertise – bring professional judgement and fresh ideas to meaningful workplace challenges.
  • A supportive clinical network – share knowledge and collaborate with experienced multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Support to keep learning – access a professional development allowance and structured development support.
  • Make your salary go further – salary package up to $9,010 for living expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment, with pre-tax superannuation and novated lease options.
  • Space for life beyond work – discuss available flexible work options and enjoy paid leave with leave loading.
  • Wellbeing benefits – access Fitness Passport discounts, flu vaccinations and confidential support for you and your family.
