Overview:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for utilising a partnership approach in coordinating and undertaking the development, delivery and evaluation of complex procurement projects, services and support which deliver high-quality procurement outcomes. The role partners with DHSA Leaders, staff and key stakeholders to coordinate and deliver complex procurement activities that comply with SA public sector policy and Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) policy directions.

The Procurement Officer applies, monitors and evaluates effective risk management in procurement, provides consultancy services and subject matter expertise on procurement policy and the preparation of procurement and internal correspondence documents, and monitors procurement reporting data to ensure information and reporting is reliable and current.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
