About The Role

As the Clinical Nurse – Respiratory, you will support the effective implementation of the Better Care in the Community program while providing proficient, person-centred clinical nursing care and individual case management within Respiratory Nursing Services.

Working within a multidisciplinary primary health care setting, you will assess clients, implement appropriate therapeutic interventions and support programs, and monitor care plans to achieve positive outcomes. You will also contribute to service coordination, clinical education and professional leadership, with a focus on the prevention and management of respiratory disease.

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife with demonstrated competence in respiratory nursing practice and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and bring strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

To succeed in the Clinical Nurse – Respiratory role, you will:

  • Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
  • Have at least three years full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrate competence in respiratory nursing practice in accordance with appropriate standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Have experience in health education delivery and providing leadership and direction to students and less experienced nursing staff.

Conditions of Employment

  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
