About the role

Step into a specialist role within Anatomical Pathology, where your scientific expertise will help deliver an efficient, accurate and high-quality Surgical Pathology service. You’ll apply advanced knowledge and professional judgement to examine, describe and dissect surgical and biopsy specimens, perform and troubleshoot diagnostic procedures, and support quality control across the laboratory.

Working closely with pathologists, scientists, technical staff and clinicians, you’ll help coordinate daily workflow and adapt services to changing priorities and workloads. You’ll supervise and develop staff involved in specimen cut up, provide specialist advice, introduce and apply contemporary methods and contribute to a strong culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across SA Pathology.

About You

You’re a skilled medical scientist who brings strong Anatomical Pathology expertise, sound judgement and a commitment to accurate, high-quality diagnostic services.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a relevant Medical Science degree or recognised equivalent
• Bring strong Anatomical Pathology and histopathology experience
• Demonstrate expertise in specimen cut up and tissue techniques
• Apply quality standards, solve problems and support team workflow
