Overview:

The Business Support Officer delivers a range of specialised administrative functions to support the business operations of the Office of the Minister for Health and Wellbeing. Reporting to the Office Manager, the role works closely with team members to ensure efficient service provision and the adherence to work practices and processes.

The role involves developing and maintaining efficient records management processes and systems, managing incoming correspondence, coordinating day to day financial and human resource matters and engaging with stakeholders including non-government organisations, other Ministerial and Electorate Offices and relevant departments within the portfolio.

This role operates in a politically sensitive environment where confidentiality and integrity are critical

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment) 

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact) 

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
