Make a Difference: Work Health Safety Administration Officer - Southern Adelaide

Join SA Health as an Administration Officer in Work Health safety and Injury Management, where you'll provide essential support to healthcare workers recovering from workplace injuries. You'll coordinate return-to-work programmes and manage comprehensive injury documentation while working with a compassionate team dedicated to employee wellbeing. These roles offer the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who care for our community every day.

About the roles: 

The two roles on offer sit within the SALHN Work Health Safety and Injury Management (WHSIM) team, providing essential operational and administrative support to deliver an efficient, compliant, and people-centred injury management service across the network.

  • Supporting the end-to-end management of workers compensation claims in accordance with the Return to Work Act 2014 and associated Regulations
  • Processing and maintaining accurate records across claims and administrative systems, including data entry, invoicing, and correspondence
  • Delivering responsive administrative support to the WHSIM team, including document management, scheduling, and committee support
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with employees, managers, and external service providers to support effective service delivery
  • Contributing to quality improvement, audit processes, and policy and procedure review activities

About you:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work, prioritise competing deadlines, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism across all interactions
  • Experienced in office-based administration and computer systems, with the ability to manage data accurately and deliver work within required timeframes
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality
    Health Care Service Standards.
