About the role

As a Medical Scientist, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality, multi-disciplinary pathology service to the Port Pirie community. Working within a close-knit and supportive regional healthcare network, you’ll apply your scientific and technical knowledge across a diverse range of routine diagnostic testing, contributing to specimen investigation, analysis and accurate reporting. Regional practice offers the opportunity to build broad, hands-on experience across different patient groups and pathology disciplines, while developing your confidence and autonomy with the support of an experienced team. About You

We’re looking for a Medical Scientist who brings sound scientific knowledge, a commitment to quality and a collaborative approach to their work. You’ll be someone who can work confidently within established procedures, take initiative when needed and contribute positively to a busy laboratory team.

• Relevant pathology qualification meeting NPAAC requirements for a Medical Scientist
• Scientific and technical skills to perform accurate, high-quality diagnostic testing
• Strong teamwork, communication, organisation and time management skills
• Initiative to identify issues, troubleshoot equipment and find practical solutions
