About the Role

Join CALHN as an Exercise Physiologist and help people regain function, independence and confidence through evidence-based exercise. Working across ambulatory and inpatient rehabilitation, you’ll deliver tailored interventions for people with diverse and complex health needs as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

• Assess clients and develop tailored exercise programs
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Support rehabilitation, early discharge and hospital avoidance
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams
• Contribute to quality improvement, education and research

The role spans ambulatory rehabilitation through CPAA and inpatient rehabilitation across the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Repat Health Precinct and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. Client groups may include people with frailty, cardiac and metabolic conditions, stroke, amputation, orthopaedic conditions, brain or spinal cord injury and other complex presentations.

About You

You’re a motivated Exercise Physiologist who brings a client-centred approach, sound clinical judgement and a genuine interest in rehabilitation. Whether you’re starting your career or bringing existing experience, you’ll enjoy learning, collaborating and making a meaningful difference for people with diverse rehabilitation needs.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold a degree enabling Exercise Physiologist accreditation
• Be eligible for accreditation with ESSA
• Apply client-centred, evidence-based clinical practice
• Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Bring strong organisation, judgement and problem-solving skills
