About the Role

Lead South 2, a 36-bed acute surgical ward, and help create a positive culture where teams thrive and patients receive high-quality care. You’ll lead people, coordinate patient flow and manage resources while shaping safe, evidence-based practice.

• Lead nursing and multidisciplinary team activities
• Coordinate patient care, outcomes and efficient flow
• Build a positive, collaborative and accountable culture
• Manage staffing, rosters, leave and work allocation
• Monitor budgets, resources and supplies with due diligence
• Drive quality, safety and risk management processes
• Develop staff through coaching, learning and feedback
• Resolve team issues and support productive relationships
• Shape care models and adapt practice to service needs

About You

You are a collaborative nursing leader who brings strong surgical expertise, sound judgement and a passion for building capable teams and delivering safe, person-centred care.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold current registration as a Nurse with NMBA
• Bring strong General Surgery nursing expertise
• Demonstrate experience in management and clinical leadership
• Lead change, resolve issues and build team capability
• Apply strong communication, negotiation and teamwork skills
