Overview

Port Lincoln sits at the heart of one of South Australia's most expansive regional health networks - and the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is investing seriously in the future of Allied Health clinical education. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist to step into a senior role that shapes how the next generation of clinicians learn, grow, and choose to build careers in regional health.

What You'll Lead

Based within the Port Lincoln Community and Allied Health team, you will take ownership of student placement coordination and the development of a student-led clinic model across EFNLHN. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy student placements end-to-end, from pre-placement preparation through to post-placement review
• Leading implementation of the student-led clinic as part of the Office of Early Childhood Multidisciplinary Capacity Building Grant
• Providing structured training, mentoring, and clinical supervision support for both students and their supervisors
• Building and maintaining productive partnerships with universities, the Department for Education, and other key stakeholders
• Contributing to quality evaluation, research activities, and clinical education consultancy across the network

What You'll Bring

• Degree qualification in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy, with eligibility for full professional association membership
• Current AHPRA registration (for regulated disciplines) or active engagement in a CPD accreditation program
• Demonstrated experience in Allied Health clinical education, student supervision, or workforce development
• Proven ability to coordinate complex programs across multiple stakeholders in a health or community setting
• Understanding of regional or rural health service delivery contexts - experience within SA Health or a comparable LHN will be highly regarded
• A postgraduate qualification in health service management, clinical education, or a related specialisation is an advantage
