Overview:

• The State Health Coordination Centre (SHCC) enables systemwide oversight of utilisation of flow of the South Australian health care system. The focus is upon actionable insights that impact the system in a positive way by improving consumer outcomes, experience and community trust.
• The SHCC includes a 24/7 multi-disciplinary clinical team, data and analytics and continuous improvement capabilities. The SHCC systems provide real-time visibility and end-to-end patient flow across the system, working  with LHNs and SAAS to support timely flow and address any blocks or barriers.
• SHCC uses the linking of advanced data and analytics with clinical expertise and shared insights to identify issues, patterns and predictions; enabling early response to issues that impact on the system or patient care. By improving coordination, communication, and analytics, the SHCC helps LHNs by supporting progression of care at each stage of their healthcare journey.
• The Advanced Nursing Director will lead, coach, coordinate and support both LHNs and direct reports, with a focus on local and system improvements.  They are accountable for standards of patient/client care, and the practice standards of nurses/midwives and/or multi-disciplinary team members. They are responsible for leading the development and ensuring the effectiveness of systems to support, evaluate and consistently improve nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team practice and healthy work environments. 
• The Advanced Nursing Director is accountable for the cost-effective provision of health services within their span of employment and has a high degree of autonomy, independent judgement and decision making.
• The Advanced Nursing Director contributes to the achievement of key performance indicators and deliverables for access and flow across the state and develops a coordinated and integrated approach to manage all systems, processes and redesign imperatives related to patient flow, demand management, and inter-facility flows across all patient continuums within South Australia. This role will work in collaboration with all clinical services, nursing, interdisciplinary and support service colleagues to execute their responsibilities.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

• A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

• Some out of hours work will be required, and may be required to be on-call as the SHCC is a 24/7 service.
• Meet immunisation requirements as outlined by the Immunisation for Health Care Workers in South Australia Policy Directive.
