Overview:

 

The Project Officer is responsible to the Director, Blood, Organ and Tissue (BOT) Programs for the development, co-ordination and implementation of project work that supports the program and policy development activities within BOT Programs, including:

  • provision of high-level secretariat and project support for Statewide committees that support blood, organ and tissue programs and fulfill State Government obligations under national agreements and relevant legislation.
  • coordination of procurement and contract management activities, including provision of advice to the Director to inform improvement of processes and liaison with service providers to monitor and evaluate performance against contract deliverables.
  • coordination of administrative processes within the unit, maintaining best practice systems for contract, project and records management which will contribute to the smooth operation of BOT Programs.
  • preparation of high-quality documents, including briefings, reports, discussion papers, or other formal business communication.

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
