About the Role
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care and individual case management to people with mental health needs. Work alongside consumers, carers, other health professionals and community organisations to support recovery. At RN2 level, you will also guide less experienced nurses and contribute to practice development.

  • Assess mental health needs and plan, deliver and review care
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, education and counselling
  • Support consumers and carers to take part in care decisions
  • Work with health services and community organisations
  • At RN2 level, mentor staff and help improve clinical practice

About You
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold current NMBA registration and a practising certificate
Bring mental health nursing skills and sound clinical judgement
Communicate well with consumers, carers and colleagues
Plan and evaluate care with a focus on recovery
Meet the qualification requirements for your RN level
