About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work in our multidisciplinary Spasticity Clinic based in the Specialist Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Centre (SpARC) at Modbury. The clinic operates for a full day once per fortnight on a Friday, and you will be part of a dynamic, growing and supportive team.
The Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service (NARS) Spasticity Clinic offers a genuinely specialised practice environment. If you bring strong neurorehabilitation expertise and want to shape meaningful outcomes for people living with spasticity, this is a role with real clinical depth.
Your Role in Rehabilitation
Working within the multidisciplinary NARS Spasticity Clinic, you will deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients with upper and lower limb spasticity across a range of neurological conditions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive OT assessments and developing goal-directed treatment plans for patients attending the Spasticity Clinic
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to coordinate Botulinum Toxin injection programs and post-injection therapy
- Providing clinical supervision and professional support to Allied Health Assistants within the team
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives within NARS
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in neurological or rehabilitation OT, with exposure to spasticity management highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of upper limb splinting, functional goal-setting, and assistive technology relevant to spasticity presentations
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise senior-level clinical judgement
- Experience providing supervision or mentorship within an allied health team
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical frameworks and the public health system is an advantage
To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
