About the Role
La Trobe University is seeking a dedicated Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to join the vibrant La Trobe Rural Health School, Australia’s largest rural health school. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Occupational Therapy education and research, fostering impact on rural and regional health.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Excellence: Design and deliver innovative courses that provide high-quality learning experiences for undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate students.
- Research Leadership: Conduct and disseminate high-impact research, supervise HDR and postgraduate students, and attract research funding.
- Discipline Leadership: Play a pivotal role in curriculum development, professional accreditation, and industry engagement.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior academic staff and students, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Community & Industry Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen regional health services.
Essential Criteria
- PhD in Occupational Therapy or equivalent professional standing.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and curriculum development expertise.
- Registered Occupational Therapist with Ahpra.
- Strong research profile, including high-quality publications and successful grant acquisition.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
- Commitment to rural health outcomes and innovative teaching methodologies.
