The position
The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides an undergraduate nursing experience that is engaging for the student and a balance of both theoretical principles and practice experiences. An established Clinical School network enables the School to collaborate with clinical partners to provide a curriculum that is unrivalled for the development of work-ready graduates who have a refined ‘critical eye’. As an academic educator you will make a significant contribution to the preparation of undergraduate nursing students by being actively involved in the delivery of innovative curricula and facilitation of student engagement.
The School is seeking Casual Academic Educators to conduct undergraduate teaching in the classroom setting. A range of subjects may be available to teach on various days and time fractions depending on the needs of the School and the skill and expertise of applicants. The facilitation of classes may include workshops, clinical skills sessions, and simulation.

The candidate
You will have current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), current Working with Children Check and possess recent clinical experience and/or other experience relevant to nurse education.
You may be required to teach at Bundoora and any of our Clinical Schools. La Trobe's clinical schools are based at the Alfred Hospital, Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and private facilities. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.
