About the position

In this key role for the University as the Manager, International Compliance (Provider Re-registration) you will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring La Trobe’s Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, National Code of Practice and CRICOS provider re-registration requirements and obligations.

The role will have an initial focus on two priority projects; design and implementation of a hub and spoke model to embed ESOS Act and National Code compliance across La Trobe and the delivery of La Trobe’s CRICOS provider re-registration program.

Reporting to the Director, Operations deliverables include:

  • Working directly with the Director, Operations to deliver La Trobe’s CRICOS provider re-registration program.
  • Implementation and delivery of a hub and spoke model to embed ESOS Act and National Code of Practice compliance across La Trobe University. Identify SMEs, co-design responsibilities matrix and deliver an ESOS and National Code responsibilities communication tool for internal audiences. 
  • Maintaining and delivering a schedule of training, continuous improvement, health check assessments against the obligations of the ESOS Act obligations and National Code. 

Skills & Experience

  • Hold a tertiary qualification at bachelor’s degree level or higher or demonstrated equivalent skill, knowledge and extensive management experience.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of experience working within the obligations of the ESOS Act and National Code of Practice.
  • Extensive experience in compliance/quality assurance management roles and demonstrated experience in implementing new work programs across organisational structures.
  • Proven ability to influence and embed change across organisational structures.
